In the Mardi Gras Indian culture, the Big Chief is the leader of the tribe and our 2019 Big Chief Cabernet Sauvignon carries on the tradition from past vintages. The grapes were hand harvested in the early morning of October 14th from a small valley floor vineyard in St Helena. The grapes were then hand sorted and fermented in a small batch to ensure optimal quality. The wine has a deep crimson color with aromas of blackberry, currants, plum, chocolate and graphite noted first followed by tobacco, baking spices and vanilla; with a rich, bold mouthfeel and gripping tannins that coat the palate with a long finish. This wine is fitting of the Big Chief moniker.
